The Hawser App tackles the impersonal aspects of “free” social media platforms by introducing a new type of media platform: “personal media” where we put our subscribers in charge of what they see - the same way cable or streaming subscribers get to by-pass paid programming and get right to the stuff they want to see most.

With the Course Restaurant Guide, we focus on matching people with the restaurants they’re most likely to enjoy because taste is personal and public reviews (that are bought and sold every day) can discourage someone who might actually like a place - from ever even trying it.

Although curation of content in both arenas seems disparate - both end up being a race to the bottom of the attention economy and ultimately the latest form of advertising.

Hawser builds platforms with the belief that each successive generation places a greater and greater value on time, privacy and personalization.

While there will always be more complex and incredibly intelligent ways to deliver ads; we believe that “end-users” want the ads they see to be relevant and non-intrusive / not interrupt the experience or function….and ultimately be rewarded for every ad they watch.
